Temporary Part-Time Missionary Assistant Needed
Olive Branch Ministries is seeking a Temporary Part-Time Missionary Assistant to join us in hands-on ministry in Appalachia. This short-term role is a wonderful opportunity for someone with a heart for service, organizational skills, and a passion for community outreach. Olive Branch’s mission is to transition families and individuals from crisis to wholeness by sharing the peace of Christ’s presence. Each year since 2014 Olive Branch Ministries has collected Christmas boxes to brighten the season for children in some of America’s poorest counties. Last Christmas season nearly 4,000 Christmas boxes were collected by dedicated volunteers and distributed throughout Appalachia.
Responsibilities include:
- Coordinating and supporting volunteers
- Organizing and checking Christmas Boxes for Appalachia (learn more at http://www.christmasboxes.org)
- Shopping for needed supplies for Christmas projects
- Assisting with case management services and winter relief ministry as needed
What we’re looking for:
- A servant’s heart and passion for ministry
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Dependability, flexibility, and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 25 pounds
- Someone who enjoys working with people and helping meet community needs
Position Details:
- Temporary, part-time (20–35 hours per week)
- Flexible schedule with some evenings/weekends required
- Begins the week of October 27, 2025 and continues for 6–8 weeks
- Compensation: $12.00 per hour plus mileage reimbursed at IRS rate
