Olive Branch Ministries partners with local schools, organizations, housing authorities, churches and other community partners and provides workshops on such subjects as Budget and Credit, Predatory Lending Practices, Home Ownership, Identity Theft, Nutrition, Parenting and many other topics.

There are three large projects we at Olive Branch Ministries have been working on:

1.) Financial Literacy

Our goal is for low-income persons to become self-sufficient in managing their finances so they may be freed from their debts and build more stable futures for their families. Sponsorships of financial literacy workshops or 1-on-1 individual counseling are available.

2.) Self-Help Workshops

Each workshops  presented has a devotional or Bible study element as part of the presentation. Workshops often include ways to save money or help build revenue for the participants. Hands on activities are provided such as candle making, jewelry design  or other ideas that participants may use to help generate income for their families. Sponsorship of one of the groups that I host on a monthly basis with household or personal care items.

3.) Projects with Children and Youth

• Annual Christmas shoebox program for children in need. You may get involved by providing filled boxes of goods and sundries for the appropriate age ranges, which will be used in McCreary, Wayne, and Pulaski counties.
• Adopt-a-School or Classroom with much-needed school supplies and educational materials.
• Programs with children on nutrition and physical activity.
• Financial literacy programs specifically aimed for high school youths and students.

I am currently working with several individuals on eliminating their debt and balancing their budget as well as several who are struggling with employment, housing or other issues. I will continue to work and advocate for the marginalized in my communities.As full time, partnered funded field personnel, my sole financial support comes from Encourager Church partnerships and contributions from individuals who are invested in this ministry.
